More suspicion on drug co trials

Plans to extend the use of statins should be scrapped, because they are based on on trials funded by drug companies which ‘grossly underestimate adverse effects’, says a group of doctors and academics.

More suspicion of drug company-sponsored trials. What is rarely addressed is the question of who else would do them, and what does it mean for the peer-review process which gave all these trials a clean bill of health.

More rows to come over this, I reckon.
